How it works

Log your weight each morning and what you eat. You can type it in or read it from the Health app.

After about two weeks, FatForecaster compares your weight trend with what you ate. From that it works out your real daily burn and the date you're likely to reach your target body fat %.

Re-measure your body every 4 to 6 weeks and the forecast corrects itself.

Questions and answers

Not medical advice

FatForecaster is a personal tracking tool. Its forecast dates, body-fat percentages and burn figures are estimates, not medical advice.

Check with a doctor or registered dietitian before you start or change a diet or exercise plan. This matters most if you have a medical condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, are under 18 or have a history of disordered eating. If tracking your weight or food starts to affect your wellbeing, stop and talk to a professional.
